Members of the Wentworth High School Class of 1947 met Saturday afternoon, August 12, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. for an informal dinner and fellowship. The dinner was held at the Sirloin House Restaurant in Eden, N. C.
Class members attending were: Emma Carter Amos and her niece and husband, Pauline Wall Robertson and her husband, Herbert; Curtis Fretwell, his wife, Sybil and their grandson; Bill Carter and his wife, Betty Jean; Marilee Roberts Grogan and her husband, Bob; Mary Frances Duke Young and her husband, Sammy; Bobby Vernon; Ann Rodgers Midkiff; Watson Rakestraw; and Ramona Harvey Page and husband, Earl. Mrs. Frances Harrison Tuttle, teacher, also attended with her husband Warren.
Everyone was glad to see all those present and reports were given concerning those who had been contacted but were not able to attend.
Although the time went quickly fellowship was enjoyed before, during, and after dinner. Promises were made that another get-together would be planned soon.
